We all have them… precious t-shirts that we can’t discard because they are reminders of some of our favorite childhood memories, vacation highlights, sports logos, etc. Instead of accumulating them in a dusty drawer, , transform them into a beautiful keepsake T-Shirt or Memory Quilt and preserve those memories for a lifetime!
Sharon's Stitches' T-Shirt Quilts are a wonderful personal gift for your high school or college graduate. Preserve all your special memories by transforming t-shirts, baby clothes, and other garment items into a unique piece of art that will always be cherished. Choose your background color, or leave that to our designer. (We often recommend high school or college/university colors.) . Yes, you can even include your favorite photo on your quilt with our special photo-transfer process that leaves your original photo undamaged.
These unique t-shirt quilts are available in three sizes. We use only pre-washed, shop-quality cotton fabrics as backing with polyster batting for comfort and durability.
We will also machine embroider your personal memory message onto the back of the quilt at no extra cost!

FAQQ - Frequently Asked Quilt Questions
Q. What can be used to make a T-shirt or Memory Quilt?
A. T-shirts, of course! But also designs or logos from pants, sweats, and sports jerseys. All items are cut to fit within a 12" square.
Q. What items besides T-Shirts can be used?
A. Most garments can be used if they are within the 12" square range. For instance, we can use baby clothes or patches too. Use your imagination!
Q. How about photos?
A. Yes! We can enlarge and transfer your photo to a quilt square. Your original photo will be returned to you. Please note that there is a $15.00 charge per photo for the transfer process.
Q. How durable is my quilt?
A. Most quilts can be machine-washed. However, certain items might bleed their colors, so we urge you to be careful. Please see the section on "Caring for your T-Shirt Quilt" for more information.
Q. What is the procedure for ordering a quilt?
A. It's as easy as 1-2-3! First, decide on the size quilt you need. Then, select the appropriate number of t-shirts, other items, and photos. (If a t-shirt has a front and back design you will need to specify which design to use, if not both.) Remember, the design must fit within a 12" square! Finally, fill out an order form and mail it to us with your shirts, photos, and other items. If we have any questions during the creation process, we will contact you.
Q. Should I contact you prior to ordering?
A. Because T-Shirt and Memory Quilts are labor intensive, we can only create a limited number of them each month. It is usually best to contact us at 724-779-4944 before mailing us your order form, shirts, etc. This will "save" your place in line. Also, we can discuss any quilt questions you might have. Follow-up communication is usually done by email.
Q. How should I mail my shirts/photos to you?
A. Please see the ordering section below for information on mailing us your order. Make sure you insure your order when shipping!
Q. Is there a down payment or deposit required?
A. Yes. Please enclose 50% of your cost estimate with your order form. We will bill you for the remaining cost of the quilt, any extras, and return shipping costs.
Q. What happens when my quilt is finished?
A. When your quilt is finished we will advise you on the balance due. After we receive payment, your finished quilt will be shipped to you via UPS. We will insure your item with UPS for the order price.
Q. How long will the creation process take?
A. Expect delivery in 6-8 weeks, sometimes sooner!
Q. What if I have a special request for my quilt?
A. Call or email us and we will do our best to accommodate your needs!

Caring for your T-Shirt Quilt
Fabrics used in making the quilt are quality 100% cotton, which were preshrunk prior to the sewing process. Because most quilts are usually a combination of light and dark colors, we recommend using a Shout "Color Catcher" sheet in the wash cycle to prevent some of the dark colors bleeding onto the lighter shirts. The quilt can be machine washed in lukewarm water and tumble dried on a very low heat setting. Most quilts can also be dry cleaned if preferred.
Important! If your quilt has any photo transfer squares, please check with your dry cleaner to see if the transfers will be able to withstand the chemical process.
Please note that since washers/dryers each have their own heating/drying characteristics and settings, Sharon's Stitches cannot guarantee your results and are not liable or responsible for damage that may occur. In addition, if you have "varsity letters" or any other non-traditional items sewn into the quilt we cannot guarantee that they will withstand either a machine wash/dry or dry cleaning process.

Please note that the following prices are based on 12" by 12" square blocks. Due to the rising price of cotton, we have had to adjust our prices to compensate.

- 25 squares (Finished quilt size: 70" by 70") - $275.00
- 30 squares (Finished quilt size: 70" by 83") - $300.00
The following extra items may be included at an additional cost.
- Photo transfers - add $15.00 per photo
